Get a jump start on your Financial Services career while completing your undergraduate requirements. As a Registered Financial Student (RFS) Member, you are a committed student of your chosen profession demonstrating your pledge to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct.

The RFS Membership is available to those students who show dedication to the financial services field of study and are willing to lay the groundwork for a successful career in service to others. Students use the RFS in pursuing internships to further enhance their professional growth and development. It is proof of their focus on becoming outstanding consultants.

 

Experience

With 1-3 years of collegiate exposure, an RFS has the opportunity to see in practice, the techniques they are learning and gain a better understanding of the financial services industry. Upon either 3 years of study or graduation, an RFS immediately becomes eligible for the Registered Financial Associate (RFA^®) designation - a natural progression in their ultimate evolution as financial services consultants. 
 

Education

Enrollment in the financial planning/services or insurance curriculum. Satisfactory completion of undergraduate courses satisfies all Continuing Education requirements.
 

Ethics

This is an undergraduate’s first exposure to the ethical conduct demands of a financial services professional and enables them to assimilate these standards into their day-to-day conduct. It affords them a dynamic head start compared to their peers who do not pursue RFS status. The RFS learns that honesty and integrity are the backbone of starting a successful career.
 

Application and Fees

RFS membership is minimal and is based on an annual renewal. Your membership status is displayed on the IARFC website, linking you to the IARFC Global Community.
