Harris Jones, RFC^®

Harris Jones is the owner of HarrisJones Advisory, providing a broad range of customized financial products and services aimed primarily at guiding owner-managed companies, families and individuals towards financial stability and security, including practical succession and estate plans.

He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with in-depth tax training, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.), a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and an accredited Director (ICD.D).

Harris is a member of The Financial Advisors Association of Canada – known as Advocis – served as Chair of its Audit & Finance Committee until September 2023, when he became interim CEO. In this role, Harris led the organization through the liquidity and other steps necessary to return it to a state of sustainable financial well-being. In October 2024 he refocused on his regular practice.

He is also a member of CPA Canada, CPA Ontario, FP Canada, The Mississauga Estate Planning Council, the Canadian Tax Foundation and STEP Canada, where, from 2012-2020, he sat on the board of directors of its Toronto Branch. In 2020, Harris was recognized as the STEP Toronto 2019 Volunteer of the Year.

Harris is active in the community, having served as a member of the boards of directors of North Toronto Community Housing, and West Toronto Community Legal Services. He has also contributed his time to various youth activities and sports, and, for the past 16 years, has brought smiles to countless children as a Celebrity Clown in the annual Toronto Santa Claus Parade.
