A Growing Global Community
HONG KONG AND MACAU CHAPTER PARTNERS - MRFS
Signing IARFC/Hang Seng University of Hong Kong
Master Registered Financial Specialist
Considering the evolving trend of Financial Consulting, Dr. Teresa So, RFC®, Chairman of IARFC Hong Kong and Macau Chapter, firmly believes that RFCs must arm themselves with advanced knowledge, in addition to the basics, in order to stay professional and competitive.
She was sometimes questioned: “I am presently an RFC. What is my next step with the IARFC?” These together inspired her to introduce the Master Registered Financial Specialist (MRFS) professional designation as an advancement path for RFC.
In Dr. So’s design, RFCs who complete the top-up curriculum in “Trust” and “FinTech” and meet the related IARFC requirements on Experience, Continuing Education, Licensing, Integrity, and Ethics, are eligible for the advancement to MRFS.
Dr. So considers “Trust” and “FinTech” are nowadays among Financial Consultants’ most needed knowledge in their professional practice. “Trust” is a popular tool legally accepted for wealth succession, usually with tax advantages. In the modern world, financial products and services are frequently not sold in-person. “FinTech” facilitates sales completion with efficiency and accuracy.
The top-up curriculum, titled “Executive Certificate in Contemporary Financial Planning” is jointly organized by IARFC Hong Kong and Macau Centre and School of Business of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. Acting as the supporting organization for the program, Hong Kong InsurTech Association provides consultation in curriculum design and updates.
