Ed Morrow entered financial services in 1963 and founded Financial Planning Consultants, based in Middletown, Ohio in 1969 to provide comprehensive planning services to business owners and executives. He has been an active participant in nearly all of the professional organization is the financial services industry.

He started using computers in his practice in 1970, and lectured across the U.S. on the use of computers in financial services during the seventies and eighties. He ws the author of "How to Computerize Your Financial Planning Pracitce" published by the College for Financial Planning in 1990. Author of seven software programs, he is a consultant to financial advisors, insurance companies and broker/dealers in the areas of practice management and computerization. He developed the Practice Builder Financial a client relationship management program used by 3,000 planning firms, and Client Builder Financial, a presentation system for financial advisors.

He has lectured on financial planning, practice management and marketing in Britain, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines, and has been responsible for getting the many financial planning courses established in Asian countries.

Ed is a frequent speaker and writer on practice management and technology for such organizations as the FPA, MDRT, NAIFA, SFSP, and IARFC. He has published over 500 professional articles and three books: Computerizing your Financial Planning Practice, The Complete Millennium Preparation Guide and Personal Coaching for Financial Advisors.

As founder and President of HB Financial Resources, Ltd., Steve has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry. He has been active in several professional associations, and has also earned the LUTCF and CEBA designations. As a member of the IARFC board, he has taken on the responsibility of the Membership Development and holds the office of President.

His professional practice includes hosting a radio show, as well as publishing many articles in local publications. He also served as an LUTC instructor and is assisting IARFC in developing its new courses.

Steve is the past president of the Charlotte Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, which under his leadership achieved the largest local membership increase in the nation. Later as Vice President of the North Carolina Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Steve won the NAIFA award for the largest percentage of membership increase in the U.S.

Bermuda born, Mrs. Bolden is the co-founder and Managing Director of the Emerald Financial Group. She earned an Honors Bachelors of Arts in Economics in 1986 and her Masters of Business Administration in 1988 from York University in Toronto, Canada. Mrs. Bolden articled with Arthur Andersen in Toronto, Canada from 1988 to 1990. While there she successfully completed her exams and was awarded her Chartered Accountant designation in November 1990.

On returning to Bermuda in December of 1990 with her husband, Mrs. Bolden joined Oil Insurance Limited (OIL), a reinsurance company specializing in insuring the risks of most of the worlds largest oil companies; and from 1992 to 1995 she was manager of the accounts division responsible for the accurate reporting of the Oils insurance companies and investment subsidiaries with assets in excess of $2 billion. In addition she was responsible for the tax reporting on the part of the US shareholders to ensure that their holdings were properly structured to not attract U.S. taxes.

Mrs. Bolden co-founded Emerald Financial Group in 1992 with her husband and joined full time in 1995 as Managing Director, and CFO. The Emerald Financial Group is a full array of Financial Service Companies that offer a wide array of services: Emerald Financial Limited specializes in the provision of investment solutions to high net worth clients, equity trading, institutional trading, and pension fund management; Emerald Investment Management Limited provides Investment Management services to their own line of funds which include the following - The Strategic Growth Themes fund in 1998, EFG High Income Fund, and the ECI Capital Explorer Fund, numerous Real-Estate Investment Partnerships.

In September 1999 they launched Directrade is an offshore online investment company specializing in the provision of online trading of US equities and mutual funds and other related investment services. Directrade is Bermuda's first full service online broker and one of the first in the region. Her responsibilities include the financial management and systems development of the company. In addition her focus, along with her husband, is on the strategic development of the company in terms of growth and strategic alliances. Some of their recent initiatives has culminated in their starting EFG Capital Solutions Limited which specializes in receivable factoring. Mrs. Bolden is the co-host with her husband of Bermudas first and only financial talk show, Money Talks, for now in its 10th season seasons.

She also serves as Director of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) and has served in the following capacities: board member of the Bermuda Health Council, past Chairman of the Hospital Insurance Commission, and past board member of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce and International Business Forum (a select group of Presidents, CEOs, and CFOs, of Bermudas financial institutions including the banks, insurance companies, and investment companies. The mandate of this group is to design the blueprint for Bermudas future by analyzing the global economy and assessing the opportunities that are beneficial to Bermuda and ensuring that the island has the education, training, and legislation to avail themselves of these opportunities). She has held numerous community positions more notably former Director of the Public Funds of Bermuda, the Careers Development Centre, and she was one of the founding Board of Governors of Bermudas Senior Secondary School, Cedarbridge Academy and past Director of the National Sports Centre and Bermuda Small Business Corporation. Hiking in the mountains is a favorite pastime in the Summer & Fall and in the Winter youll always find her ready for snowshoeing! When Spring arrives, Wilma heads for the Caribbean or Mexico for scuba divingand finds wonderful out-of-the-way restaurants with new recipes to try! At home there are 2 comical Irish Water Spaniels who greet visitors happily with a tennis ball & theyre ready to play! She is a Volunteer at the local hospital and actively supports Guide Dogs for the Blind, World Vision, and the United Way.

Vernon was one of the pioneers in the financial planning profession, having started with IDS in 1950. His career was interrupted by the Korean War, and he returned to a Vice Presidency with Western Union, as president of three subsidiaries. In 1973 he joined Financial Service Corporation in Atlanta, as Vice President for Training and later as Senior Vice President of Marketing.

In 1977 he established the investment firm of Hamlette, Gwynne, Wells, Parsons and Associates. However, this was interrupted when he was asked in 1978 to take over the reins of the struggling International Association of Financial Planning. He turned the organization around, and for five years the association had unprecedented growth.

Following this he co-founded a broker/dealer, Source International, that was ultimately sold to a national accounting firm. He then established Financial Services Exchange - a unique organization that helps bring together entrepreneurs and firms seeking capital,and brokerage firms. During its 25 years, FSX has been responsible for the placement of several billion of investments.

In 2004 he was awarded the prestigious Loren Dunton Award for Distinguished Contributions to the Financial Services Profession.

Derek D. Klock, RFC has worked in bank management, brokerage, and private consulting. An R.B. Pamplin Fellow and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, he received his MBA from Pamlin College of Business at Virginia Tech June, 2005.

During his tenure with financial institutions, working as a NASD General Securities Reprsentative and Virginia life and health insurance agent, he was frequently called upon as a corporate trainer and facilitator. Since leaving banking, Mr. Klock has worked as an independent financial advisor and consultant. He has developed print and Internet financial education tools, most recently co-developing a personal financial planning educational software package for a collegiate-level textbook.

Ruth has been the Director of the Registered Family Financial Management Program at Virginia Tech for the past seven years. This is a CFP Board approved curriculum and graduates students prepared for careers in personal financial planning.

Prior to this, she has taught at University of Rhode Island and University of Tennessee - on topics of Personal Finance, Home and Household Management and various courses on personal debt management.

Ruth is a co-author of the Lecturers Guide and the Student Guide for the popular Personal Finance: Turning Money Into Wealth by A. J. Keown. A prodigious academic researcher, she is the author and co-author of a great many academic and research papers of the field of personal finance and resource management.

Rosilyn H. Overton, is Assistant Professor of Business Administration and the Graduate Coordinator for Finance at New Jersey City University. She designed the curriculum and wrote most of the courses for the Master of Science in Finance at NJCU, including its registered CFP Certification Education program. Her paper, Designing a Graduate Curriculum: Use of Credentials to Enhance Student Portfolios, was chosen Best Paper at the 2004 Conference on Teaching and Learning. She is also a principal (partner) in Mid-Atlantic Securities, Inc. and owner of its New York office. She is an expert in investments and retirement planning, particularly pension plans for closely held businesses. She specializes in financial consulting and investment advisory services to business owners, pension plans, and trust funds. Ms. Overton is Past President of the New York Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning, the largest and oldest organization of financial planning professionals, and has served as the Chairman of its Wall Street Division. She is Past Chairperson of the Financial Planning Association of New York.

She founded Brown & Overton, registered investment advisors, and its predecessor company, R. H. Overton Company, and has more than 30 years experience in the financial services business. In her capacity as a partner in Mid-Atlantic, she spearheaded the formation of its fee-based registered investment advisor division. Before Brown & Overton, Ms. Overton was Vice President, National Marketing Director - Investment Products for the Manhattan Life Insurance Company, and a Vice President of E. F. Hutton & Co. She was named Outstanding Businesswoman of Queens, NY in 1998. An active author and lecturer, she has written numerous newspaper and magazine articles on business, insurance and financial subjects, and has made many appearances as a financial authority on CNBC, CNNfn, the Financial News Network, the CBS Morning News, the Monitor Channel, and various other television and radio shows.

Ms. Overton earned a M.S. in Economics from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where she also earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science. She completed her Ph. D. program in Business at Capella University. She earned her Certified Financial Planner education component and her Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist designation through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. She taught Investments, Estate Planning, Risk Management and Pension and Retirement Planning in the Certified Financial Planner program of the Pace University Lubin Graduate School of Business for more than 17 years.

Ms. Overton is a member of the Queens Chamber of Commerce and is a Past President of the Flushing Rotary Club. She is Executive Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts and a Past President of the Zonta Club of New York, has served on the Board of Directors of the New York State Federation of Business and Professional Women, and is a Past President of the Gotham Business and Professional Women.
